Job Title: Pastry Chef

Salary: £30,000.00 - £32,000.00 per annum
We’re recruiting for a skilled Pastry Chef in Leicester to join our client’s culinary team at their 4 Star Luxury Hotel. If you have a passion for crafting desserts and pastries in a prestigious environment, we want to hear from you.
As a Pastry Chef, you will be an integral part of our culinary team and will be responsible for creating desserts and pastries that complement our exceptional dining experience. You will have the opportunity to showcase your creativity, expertise and passion for pastry arts while working in a dynamic environment.
Roles and Responsibilities
- To input into the writing of menus for all food outlets with regular reviews.
- Assist with the training and development of all departmental staff.
- Maximise yield within the department,
- To liaise with Dept. Managers to ensure exceptional service levels are consistently delivered to guests.
- Present a welcoming impression to our guests by all staff.
- Liaise with suppliers, when required, and ensure delivery of commodities to specifications agreed from a reputable and traceable source.
- Maintain a high level of customer care throughout the Pastry department.
- Ensure all equipment is maintained in a clean working condition.
- Maintain hygiene standards in areas of responsibility.
- To meet with guests to discuss requirements, if required and to be visible in “front of house”.
Essential Experience
- Baking and Pastry Techniques: Proficiency in various baking methods, chocolate work, sugar crafting, and dessert presentation.
- Creativity: Ability to design and create innovative desserts and pastries.
- Attention to Detail: Precision in measurements and techniques to ensure high-quality results.
